🌟 The Journey: Our Co-Founder's Transformative Story🌟

🌟 From Adversity to Empowerment: Our Co-Founder's Transformative Journey 🌟 In this inspiring video, our co-founder shares his remarkable journey from a challenging past to becoming a beacon of hope and change. Growing up amidst hardships, he faced numerous adversities, including family struggles and encounters with the law. Yet, these experiences became the catalyst for profound personal growth and a steadfast commitment to community healing. After confronting his own trauma and dedicating himself to understanding its roots, he found purpose in uplifting others facing similar battles. This path led to the establishment of the Healing & Justice Center, a BIPOC-led, worker self-directed nonprofit organization. Our mission is to support individuals, communities, and organizations by facilitating safe, healing, and connected spaces through tailored programs, services, and advocacy initiatives that promote sustainable healing and justice practices. Connect with Us: 🌐 Website: HealingandJusticeCenter.org 📱 TikTok: tiktok.com/@Healing4Justice 📸 Instagram: instagram.com/Healing4Justice 👍 Facebook: facebook.com/Healing4Justice 💼 LinkedIn: linkedin.com/company/Healing4Justice 🐦 Twitter: twitter.com/Healing4Justice Support Our Mission: 🤝 Donate: Your contributions enable us to continue our vital work. https://healingandjusticecenter.org/thejourney By sharing our co-founder's story, we aim to inspire others to recognize that their past does not define them; instead, it can fuel a journey toward healing and justice. This March, as a mostly Latina-led team, we find ourselves reflecting on the strength of women throughout history and those fighting for justice today. We carry the stories of those who came before us, those who fought for dignity, freedom, and equity—often against forces that sought to silence them. But history has shown us that resistance is woven into our DNA. It lives in the mothers raising their voices for their children, in the organizers demanding change, and in the everyday acts of courage we witness in our communities. As we celebrate Women’s History Month, we cannot ignore the injustices that persist. Around the world, women are at the forefront of movements for democracy, racial justice, and economic equality—whether resisting occupation, defending bodily autonomy, or leading mutual aid efforts in war-torn communities. The attacks on reproductive rights, the rise in state violence, and the displacement of millions are urgent reminders that our fight is not just about the past but about the present and future." This month, we honor the movements that have shaped our histories. On March 8, International Women’s Day, we recognize the strength of those who have paved the way, from Black and Indigenous women who led abolitionist struggles to the feminists fighting for liberation today. On March 25, we remember the lives stolen by slavery and commit to the ongoing fight for racial justice. And on March 31, César Chávez Day reminds us that labor rights and human dignity go hand in hand. These histories live on in us, guiding our work and our resistance." Justice is built in community. Healing is a collective process. This month, let’s honor those who fought before us by continuing the work—uplifting voices, demanding equity, and ensuring that healing and justice remain at the center of all we do. Whether you show up in protests, support local organizers, or take the time to educate yourself and those around you—your actions matter. We invite you to stand with us, to build with us, and to reimagine a future where justice is more than a dream but a reality we create together.
